Catalytic Converter Bypass Valve Vacuum Switch: Testing and Inspection

2UR-FSE EMISSION CONTROL: HYDROCARBON ADSORBER CATALYST SWITCHING VALVE: INSPECTION

1. INSPECT HYDROCARBON ADSORBER CATALYST SWITCHING VALVE

(a) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.





Standard resistance:





(a) If the result is not as specified, replace the hydrocarbon adsorber catalyst switching valve.

(b) Check operation of the hydrocarbon adsorber catalyst switching valve.





(1) Check that air does not flow from port E to the filter.

If the result is not as specified, replace the hydrocarbon adsorber catalyst switching valve.

(2) Apply battery voltage to the connector, and check the switching valve operation.





OK:





(2) If the result is not as specified, replace the hydrocarbon adsorber catalyst switching valve.
