INSTALLATION


1. INSTALL ENGINE WATER PUMP ASSEMBLY





(a) Install a new engine water pump gasket and the engine water pump assembly with the 16 bolts.

Bolt A - Torque: 21 Nm (214 kgf cm, 15ft lbf)

Bolts B and C - Torque: 9.1 Nm (93 kgf cm, 81in lbf)

NOTICE:

Make sure that there is no oil on the threads of bolts A. Be sure to replace 2 the bolts C with new ones or reuse them after applying adhesive 1344.

Adhesive:

Toyota Genuine Adhesive 1344, Three Bond 1344 or Equivalent


(b) Install the water pump pulley.

SST: 09960-10010

SST: 09962-01000

SST: 09963-00700


Torque: 21 Nm (214 kgf cm, 15ft lbf)


2. INSTALL NO. 2 IDLER PULLEY SUB-ASSEMBLY






(a) Install the idler pulley with the bolt.

NOTICE:

Be careful when tightening the bolt because it is left-hand threaded.

Torque: 43 Nm (438 kgf cm, 32ft lbf)

(b) Install the 2 No. 2 idler pulley cover plates and 2 idler pulley sub-assemblies with the 2 bolts.

Torque: 43 Nm (438 kgf cm, 32ft lbf)

4. INSTALL WATER INLET HOUSING

5. INSTALL V-RIBBED BELT

6. INSTALL ENGINE MOVING CONTROL ROD

7. INSTALL NO. 2 ENGINE MOUNTING STAY RH

8. ADD ENGINE COOLANT

9. INSTALL ENGINE ROOM SIDE COVER RH

10. INSTALL ENGINE ROOM SIDE COVER LH

11. CHECK FOR ENGINE COOLANT LEAKS

12. INSTALL COOL AIR INTAKE DUCT SEAL

13. INSTALL V-BANK COVER SUB-ASSEMBLY

14. INSTALL ENGINE UNDER COVER LH

15. INSTALL ENGINE UNDER COVER RH
