Removal





L110 HYBRID VEHICLE CONTROL: HYBRID VEHICLE CONTROL ECU: REMOVAL

NOTICE:
When removing and installing the ECM and hybrid vehicle control ECU, be sure to distinguish the wire harnesses of the ECM and hybrid vehicle control ECU. If the wire harnesses are incorrectly connected, damage may occur to the engine.

1. REMOVE LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT FLOOR MAT

2. REMOVE BATTERY SERVICE HOLE COVER LH

3. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL

CAUTION:
Wait at least 90 seconds after disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal to prevent airbag and seat belt pretensioner activation.

4. REMOVE COOL AIR INTAKE DUCT SEAL Removal

5. REMOVE ENGINE ROOM SIDE COVER LH Removal

6. REMOVE ENGINE ROOM NO. 1 RELAY BLOCK COVER

7. REMOVE RADIATOR RESERVE TANK ASSEMBLY

(a) Disconnect the inverter drain hose from the clamp.





(b) Remove the 2 bolts and radiator reserve tank assembly.

8. REMOVE ECM BRACKET

(a) Disconnect the wire harness clamp from the wire harness.





(b) Disconnect the 3 wire harness clamps from the ECM bracket.

(c) Remove the 6 bolts, nut and ECM bracket.





9. REMOVE HYBRID VEHICLE CONTROL ECU

(a) Raise the lock lever and disconnect the 2 connectors. Remove the hybrid vehicle control ECU.





NOTICE:
Make sure that the lock lever is raised 90° as shown in the illustration before disconnecting the connectors. Failure to do this may cause the connectors to break.
