1UR-FSE COOLING: WATER PUMP: INSTALLATION

1. INSTALL WATER PUMP

(a) Install the water pump and a new gasket with the 9 bolts as shown in the illustration.





Torque : 20 Nm (204 kgf-cm, 15 ft-lbf) for bolt A

Torque : 23 Nm (235 kgf-cm, 17 ft-lbf) for bolt B

Torque : 47 Nm (479 kgf-cm, 35 ft-lbf) for bolt C

2. INSTALL WATER PUMP PULLEY

(a) Temporarily install the pulley with the 4 bolts.





(b) Using a screwdriver or an equivalent, hold the pulley and tighten the 4 bolts.

Torque : 21 Nm (214 kgf-cm, 15 ft-lbf)

HINT
Tape the screwdriver tip before use to avoid damage.

3. INSTALL WATER INLET HOUSING

(a) Install a new gasket to the water pump.





(b) Install the water inlet housing with the 3 bolts.

Torque : 21 Nm (214 kgf-cm, 15 ft-lbf)

4. CONNECT NO. 3 WATER BY-PASS HOSE

(a) Connect the No. 3 water by-pass hose to the water inlet housing.





HINT
The direction of the hose clamp is indicated in the illustration.

5. CONNECT WATER INLET HOSE

(a) Connect the water inlet hose to the water inlet housing.

The direction of the hose clamp is indicated in the illustration.

6. CONNECT NO. 5 WATER BY-PASS HOSE

(a) Connect the No. 5 water by-pass hose to the water inlet housing.





HINT
The direction of the hose clamp is indicated in the illustration.

7. CONNECT NO. 2 RADIATOR HOSE

(a) Connect the No. 2 radiator hose to the water inlet sub-assembly with thermostat.





8. INSTALL V-RIBBED BELT Installation

9. INSTALL RADIATOR RESERVE TANK ASSEMBLY Installation

10. INSTALL AIR CLEANER CAP SUB-ASSEMBLY Installation

11. ADD ENGINE COOLANT Service and Repair

12. INSPECT FOR COOLANT LEAK Testing and Inspection

13. INSTALL ENGINE ROOM SIDE COVER RH Installation

14. INSTALL NO. 1 AIR CLEANER INLET Installation

15. INSTALL COOL AIR INTAKE DUCT SEAL Installation

16. INSTALL V-BANK COVER SUB-ASSEMBLY Installation

17. INSTALL ENGINE UNDER COVER
