B1215 - Short to GND in Door System Communication Bus Malfunction
DESCRIPTION
* If a +B short circuit or body ground short circuit is detected on the door system communication bus (BEAN), BEAN is disabled and these DTCs are output.

1. CHECK DTC OUTPUT (MAIN BODY ECU RH (COWL SIDE JUNCTION BLOCK RH))
(a) Disconnect the J75 and RJ connectors.
(b) Clear the DTC Multiplex Communication System.
(c) Recheck for DTCs.
OK:
DTC B1214 or B1215 is not output.
NG -- CHECK DTC OUTPUT (METAL TOP CONTROL ECU (SLIDING ROOF CONTROL ECU ASSEMBLY))
OK -- Continue to next step.
2. CHECK DTC OUTPUT (MULTIPLEX TILT AND TELESCOPIC ECU)
(a) Reconnect the J75 and RJ connectors.
(b) Disconnect the J28 connector.
(c) Clear the DTC Multiplex Communication System.
(d) Recheck for DTCs.
OK:
DTC B1214 or B1215 is not output.
NG -- CHECK DTC OUTPUT (WIRE HARNESS)
OK -- REPLACE MULTIPLEX TILT AND TELESCOPIC ECU Removal
3. CHECK DTC OUTPUT (WIRE HARNESS)
(a) Reconnect the J28 connector.
(b) Disconnect the RA connector.
(c) Clear the DTC Multiplex Communication System.
(d) Recheck for DTCs.

(a) Reconnect the J75 and RJ connectors.
(b) Disconnect the Q36 connector.
(c) Clear the DTC Multiplex Communication System.
(d) Recheck for DTCs.
