B2287 - LIN Communication Master Malfunction

DESCRIPTION

This DTC is stored when there is an open, short or ECU communication malfunction between the power source control ECU and the certification ECU (smart key ECU assembly).

INSPECTION PROCEDURE

NOTICE:
* If the certification ECU (smart key ECU assembly) is replaced, register the keys Engine Immobilizer System.

PROCEDURE

1. CHECK DTC OUTPUT

(a) Clear the DTC LIN Communication System.

(b) Recheck for DTCs.

Check for both "Smart Access" and "Power Source Control" DTCs.

HINT
When DTCs B2287 and B2785 are output simultaneously, perform troubleshooting for DTC B2785 first.

B -- GO TO DTC B2785 B2785
A -- Continue to next step.

2. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (CERTIFICATION ECU - POWER SOURCE CONTROL ECU)

(a) Disconnect the P33 and J55 connectors.





(b) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

NG -- REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR
OK -- Continue to next step.

3. REPLACE POWER SOURCE CONTROL ECU

(a) Replace the power source control ECU Removal.

NEXT -- Continue to next step.

4. CHECK DTC OUTPUT

(a) Clear the DTC LIN Communication System.

(b) Recheck for DTCs.

OK:

DTC B2287 is not output.

NG -- REPLACE CERTIFICATION ECU (SMART KEY ECU ASSEMBLY) Removal

OK -- END (POWER SOURCE CONTROL ECU WAS DEFECTIVE)
