B2527 - Roof Open Switch Malfunction

DESCRIPTION

The roof open switch, which is located in the package tray trim bracket, detects that the roof is fully open. The switch sends a signal to the sliding roof control ECU assembly.

INSPECTION PROCEDURE

PROCEDURE

1. INSPECT PACKAGE TRAY TRIM BRACKET (ROOF OPEN SWITCH)

(a) Check that the wire harness of the roof open switch has not been pinched by the body.

(b) Disconnect the P60 connector.

NG -- REPLACE PACKAGE TRAY TRIM BRACKET (ROOF OPEN SWITCH)
OK -- Continue to next step.

2. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (PACKAGE TRAY TRIM BRACKET - SLIDING ROOF CONTROL ECU)

(a) Disconnect the P60 and P53 connectors.

(b) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

Standard Resistance:

NG -- REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR
OK -- Continue to next step.

3. INSPECT PACKAGE TRAY TRIM BRACKET

(a) Disconnect the P60 connector.

(b) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

NOTICE:
Manually move the roof to the position in the table below Procedures.
