DESCRIPTION

The sliding roof control ECU assembly receives the luggage compartment door opener main switch signal via BEAN communication from the main body ECU RH (cowl side junction block RH) and changes operation permission condition of the metal top system.

INSPECTION PROCEDURE

NOTICE:
The retractable hardtop system uses a multiplex communication system. Inspect the communication function by following How to Proceed with Troubleshooting How To Proceed With Troubleshooting. Troubleshoot the retractable hardtop system after confirming that the communication system is functioning properly.

PROCEDURE

1. REPLACE MAIN BODY ECU RH (COWL SIDE JUNCTION BLOCK RH)

(a) Replace the main body ECU RH (cowl side junction block RH).

NEXT -- Continue to next step.

2. CLEAR DTC

(a) Clear the DTC Reading and Clearing Diagnostic Trouble Codes.

NEXT -- Continue to next step.

3. CHECK FOR DTC

(a) Recheck for DTCs Reading and Clearing Diagnostic Trouble Codes.

OK:

DTC B2548 is not output.

NG -- REPLACE SLIDING ROOF CONTROL ECU ASSEMBLY

OK -- END (MAIN BODY ECU RH (COWL SIDE JUNCTION BLOCK RH) WAS DEFECTIVE)
