B2549 - Driver Door ECU Communication Stop

DESCRIPTION

The sliding roof control ECU assembly receives a driver window position signal from the power window regulator master switch assembly via BEAN communication. The sliding roof control ECU assembly prohibits metal top system operation when the driver window does not open to the specified position.

INSPECTION PROCEDURE

NOTICE:
The retractable hardtop system uses a multiplex communication system. Inspect the communication function by following How to Proceed with Troubleshooting How To Proceed With Troubleshooting. Troubleshoot the retractable hardtop system after confirming that the communication system is functioning properly.

PROCEDURE

1. REPLACE POWER WINDOW REGULATOR MASTER SWITCH ASSEMBLY

(a) Replace the power window regulator master switch assembly.

NEXT -- Continue to next step.

2. CLEAR DTC

(a) Clear the DTC Reading and Clearing Diagnostic Trouble Codes.

NEXT -- Continue to next step.

3. CHECK FOR DTC

(a) Recheck for DTCs Reading and Clearing Diagnostic Trouble Codes.

OK:

DTC B2549 is not output.

NG -- REPLACE SLIDING ROOF CONTROL ECU ASSEMBLY

OK -- END (POWER WINDOW REGULATOR MASTER SWITCH ASSEMBLY WAS DEFECTIVE)
