B254B - Side Package Tray Switch No.2 LH Abnormal Operation
DESCRIPTION
The No. 2 package tray trim hinge (No. 2 side package tray LH switch) detects that the side package tray LH position. The switch sends a signal to the sliding roof control ECU assembly.

INSPECTION PROCEDURE
NOTICE:
Before starting troubleshooting, check that there are no mechanical problems.
PROCEDURE
1. READ VALUE USING TECHSTREAM (LH SIDE PAC TRAY SW NO. 2)
(a) Connect the Techstream to the DLC3.
(b) Turn the engine switch on (IG).
(c) Turn the Techstream on.
(d) Enter the following menus: Body Electrical / Retractable Hardtop / Data List.
(e) Read the Data List according to the display on the Techstream.
Retractable Hardtop (Sliding Roof Control ECU Assembly)
OK:
The Techstream display changes according to condition as shown in the table.
NG -- INSPECT NO. 2 PACKAGE TRAY TRIM HINGE
OK -- REPLACE SLIDING ROOF CONTROL ECU ASSEMBLY
2. INSPECT NO. 2 PACKAGE TRAY TRIM HINGE
(a) Check that the wire harness of the No. 2 side package tray LH switch has not been pinched by the body.
(b) Disconnect the h8 connector.

(c) Remove the slide roof motor assembly (side package tray motor).
(d) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
Standard Resistance:
NG -- REPLACE NO. 2 PACKAGE TRAY TRIM HINGE
OK -- Continue to next step.
3. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (NO. 2 PACKAGE TRAY TRIM HINGE - SLIDING ROOF CONTROL ECU)
(a) Disconnect the h8 and Q36 connectors.
(b) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
