B254E - Back Window Panel LH Pulse Sensor Abnormal Operation
DESCRIPTION
The sliding roof control ECU assembly controls the speed of the back window panel using pulse signals that are generated by the rotation of the sliding roof drive gear assembly LH (back window motor LH).

INSPECTION PROCEDURE
NOTICE:
Before starting troubleshooting, check that there are no mechanical problems.
PROCEDURE
1. READ VALUE USING TECHSTREAM (LH BW PANEL PULSE VALUE)
(a) Connect the Techstream to the DLC3.
(b) Turn the engine switch on (IG).
(c) Turn the Techstream on.
(d) Enter the following menus: Body Electrical / Retractable Hardtop / Data List.
(e) Read the Data List according to the display on the Techstream.
Retractable Hardtop (Sliding Roof Control ECU Assembly)
OK:
The Techstream display changes according to condition as shown in the table.
NG -- CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (SLIDE ROOF MOTOR ASSEMBLY - SLIDING ROOF CONTROL ECU)
OK -- REPLACE SLIDING ROOF CONTROL ECU ASSEMBLY
2. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (SLIDE ROOF MOTOR ASSEMBLY - SLIDING ROOF CONTROL ECU)
(a) Disconnect the Q41 and Q35 connectors.
(b) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
Standard Resistance:

NG -- REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR
OK -- Continue to next step.
3. INSPECT SLIDING ROOF DRIVE GEAR ASSEMBLY (BACK WINDOW MOTOR LH)
(a) Disconnect the A connector.
(b) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
Standard Resistance:

NG -- REPLACE SLIDING ROOF DRIVE GEAR ASSEMBLY (BACK WINDOW MOTOR LH)
OK -- Continue to next step.
4. CHECK SLIDING ROOF CONTROL ECU ASSEMBLY
(a) Reconnect the Q41 and Q35 connectors.
(b) Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.
