B255B - Luggage Door Closer Neutral Position Switch RH Abnormal Operation

DESCRIPTION

The luggage door closer assembly RH detects the luggage door latch position, etc. The switch sends a signal to the sliding roof control ECU assembly.

INSPECTION PROCEDURE

HINT
This DTC will not be stored again right after it is cleared. Therefore when this DTC is output, make sure to perform the inspection using the following procedure.

NOTICE:
Before starting troubleshooting, check that there are no mechanical problems.

PROCEDURE

1. READ VALUE USING TECHSTREAM (RH CLOSER POSITION SW)

(a) Connect the Techstream to the DLC3.

(b) Turn the engine switch on (IG).

(c) Turn the Techstream on.

(d) Enter the following menus: Body Electrical / Retractable Hardtop / Data List.

(e) Read the Data List according to the display on the Techstream.

Retractable Hardtop (Sliding Roof Control ECU Assembly)





OK:

The Techstream display changes according to condition as shown in the table.

NG -- CHECK LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT DOOR HINGE ASSEMBLY RH (LUGGAGE DOOR CLOSER ASSEMBLY RH)

OK -- REPLACE SLIDING ROOF CONTROL ECU ASSEMBLY

2. CHECK LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT DOOR HINGE ASSEMBLY RH (LUGGAGE DOOR CLOSER ASSEMBLY RH)

(a) Disconnect the P58 and P59 connectors.

(b) Check the on/off condition of the position switch built in the luggage door closer assembly RH.

(c) Confirm that the position switch changes when battery voltage is applied to the luggage door closer assembly RH motor side connector.





Standard:





NOTICE:
As soon as operation of the position switch is checked, disconnect the battery.

3. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT DOOR HINGE - SLIDING ROOF CONTROL ECU)

(a) Disconnect the P58, P59 and P53 connectors.





(b) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

Standard Resistance:

NG -- REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR
OK -- Continue to next step.

4. CHECK LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT DOOR HINGE ASSEMBLY RH (HARNESS AND CONNECTOR)

(a) Disconnect the P58, P59 and A connectors.





(b) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

Standard Resistance:
