B255D - Luggage Door Closer Neutral Position Switch LH Abnormal Operation

DESCRIPTION

The luggage door closer assembly LH detects the luggage door latch position, etc. The switch sends a signal to the sliding roof control ECU assembly.

INSPECTION PROCEDURE

PROCEDURE

1. READ VALUE USING TECHSTREAM (LH CLOSER POSITION SW)

(a) Connect the Techstream to the DLC3.

(b) Turn the engine switch on (IG).

(c) Turn the Techstream on.

(d) Enter the following menus: Body Electrical / Retractable Hardtop / Data List.

(e) Read the Data List according to the display on the Techstream.

Retractable Hardtop (Sliding Roof Control ECU Assembly)





OK:

The Techstream display changes according to condition as shown in the table.

NG -- CHECK LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT DOOR HINGE ASSEMBLY LH (LUGGAGE DOOR CLOSER ASSEMBLY LH)

OK -- REPLACE SLIDING ROOF CONTROL ECU ASSEMBLY

2. CHECK LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT DOOR HINGE ASSEMBLY LH (LUGGAGE DOOR CLOSER ASSEMBLY LH)

(a) Disconnect the Q42 and Q43 connectors.

(b) Check the on/off condition of the position switch built in the luggage door closer assembly LH.

(c) Confirm that the position switch changes when battery voltage is applied to the luggage door closer assembly LH motor side connector.





Standard:





NOTICE:
As soon as operation of the position switch is checked, disconnect the battery.

3. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT DOOR HINGE LH - SLIDING ROOF CONTROL ECU)

(a) Disconnect the Q42, Q43 and Q36 connectors.





(b) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

Standard Resistance:

OK -- Continue to next step.

4. CHECK LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT DOOR HINGE ASSEMBLY LH (HARNESS AND CONNECTOR)

(a) Disconnect the Q42, Q43 and A connectors.





(b) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

Standard Resistance:
