B2565 - Difference between RH and LH Luggage Door Drive Motor Pulse

DESCRIPTION

The sliding roof control ECU assembly controls the speed of the luggage door using pulse signals that are generated by the rotation of the luggage door drive gear assembly RH (luggage motor RH) and luggage door drive gear assembly LH (luggage motor LH).

INSPECTION PROCEDURE

NOTICE:
Before starting troubleshooting, manually move Procedures the luggage links to check that they are not sticking or binding.

PROCEDURE

1. INSPECT LUGGAGE DOOR DRIVE GEAR ASSEMBLY RH (LUGGAGE MOTOR RH)

(a) Remove the Luggage door drive gear assembly RH (luggage motor RH).





(b) Apply battery voltage and check operation of the luggage motor.

OK:





(c) Connect an electrical tester DC 400 A probe to the wire harness of the motor.

NOTICE:
Match the arrow mark of the probe with the direction of the current flow.

(d) Measure the current according to the value(s) in the table below.

NOTICE:
Make sure to perform the inspection after the motor cools down sufficiently. Otherwise the result may not meet the specified condition due to protection circuit operation in the motor.

NG -- REPLACE LUGGAGE DOOR DRIVE GEAR ASSEMBLY RH (LUGGAGE MOTOR RH)
OK -- Continue to next step.

2. INSPECT LUGGAGE DOOR DRIVE GEAR ASSEMBLY LH (LUGGAGE MOTOR LH)

(a) Remove the Luggage door drive gear assembly LH (luggage motor LH).





(b) Apply battery voltage and check operation of the luggage motor.

OK:





(c) Connect an electrical tester DC 400 A probe to the wire harness of the motor.

NOTICE:

(d) Measure the current according to the value(s) in the table below.
