4GR-FSE ENGINE MECHANICAL: ENGINE UNIT: REMOVAL

1. REMOVE ENGINE HANGERS

(a) Remove the 4 bolts and 2 engine hangers.

2. REMOVE V-RIBBED BELT Removal

3. REMOVE NO. 2 ENGINE COVER

(a) Remove the 3 clips, clamp and No. 2 engine cover.





4. REMOVE NO. 1 ENGINE COVER

(a) Remove the 3 clips and No. 1 engine cover.





5. REMOVE NO. 2 IDLER PULLEY SUB-ASSEMBLY

(a) Remove the bolt, plate and No. 2 idler pulley sub-assembly.





6. REMOVE GENERATOR ASSEMBLY Removal

7. REMOVE COMPRESSOR AND MAGNETIC CLUTCH Removal

8. REMOVE FRONT NO. 1 ENGINE MOUNTING BRACKET LH

(a) Disconnect the 2 clamps.





(b) Remove the 4 bolts and front No. 1 engine mounting bracket LH.

9. REMOVE FRONT NO. 1 ENGINE MOUNTING BRACKET RH

(a) Remove the 4 bolts and front No. 1 engine mounting bracket RH.





10. REMOVE V-RIBBED BELT TENSIONER ASSEMBLY

(a) Remove the 5 bolts and V-ribbed belt tensioner assembly.





11. REMOVE WATER PUMP PULLEY Removal

12. REMOVE ENGINE WIRE

(a) Remove the engine wire from the engine.

13. REMOVE INJECTOR DRIVER

(a) Remove the bolt, 2 nuts and injector driver.





14. REMOVE THROTTLE BODY Removal

15. REMOVE INTAKE AIR SURGE TANK ASSEMBLY Removal

16. REMOVE NO. 2 SURGE TANK STAY

(a) Remove the bolt and No. 2 surge tank stay.

17. REMOVE WATER HOSE JOINT

(a) Remove the bolt, and disconnect 2 hoses and water hose joint.





18. REMOVE INTAKE MANIFOLD Removal

19. REMOVE FUEL PRESSURE PULSATION DAMPER ASSEMBLY Removal

20. REMOVE NO. 1 FUEL PIPE SUB-ASSEMBLY Removal

21. DISCONNECT NO. 2 FUEL PIPE SUB-ASSEMBLY Removal

22. REMOVE FUEL PUMP ASSEMBLY (for High Pressure) Removal

23. REMOVE NO. 2 FUEL PIPE SUB-ASSEMBLY Removal

24. REMOVE NO. 3 FUEL PIPE SUB-ASSEMBLY Removal

25. REMOVE NO. 2 FUEL DELIVERY PIPE SUB-ASSEMBLY Removal

26. REMOVE NO. 1 FUEL DELIVERY PIPE SUB-ASSEMBLY Removal

27. REMOVE FUEL INJECTOR ASSEMBLY Removal

28. REMOVE FUEL INJECTOR SEAL Removal

29. REMOVE WIRE HARNESS CLAMP BRACKET

(a) Remove the bolt and wire harness clamp bracket.





30. REMOVE V-BANK COVER BRACKET SUB-ASSEMBLY

(a) Remove the bolt and V-bank cover bracket sub-assembly.





31. REMOVE IGNITION COIL ASSEMBLY Removal

32. REMOVE ENGINE OIL LEVEL SENSOR

(a) Remove the 4 bolts and engine oil level sensor.





(b) Remove the gasket.

33. REMOVE ENGINE OIL PRESSURE SWITCH ASSEMBLY

(a) Using a 24 mm deep socket wrench, remove the engine oil pressure switch assembly.





34. REMOVE E.F.I. ENGINE COOLANT TEMPERATURE SENSOR

(a) Remove the engine temperature sensor.





(b) Remove the gasket from the engine coolant temperature sensor.
