1. REMOVE FRONT SEAT HEADREST ASSEMBLY (for Power Seat)

Wait for 90 seconds after disconnecting the cable to prevent the airbag from deploying Service Precautions.

52. REMOVE FRONT DOOR SCUFF PLATE LH (w/o Illumination)

(a) Put protective tape around the front door scuff plate.





(b) Using a moulding remover, disengage the 4 clips.

(c) Disengage the 7 claws and remove the front door scuff plate LH.





53. REMOVE FRONT DOOR SCUFF PLATE RH (w/o Illumination)

54. REMOVE FRONT DOOR SCUFF PLATE LH (w/ Illumination)

(a) Put protective tape around the front door scuff plate.





(b) Using a moulding remover, disengage the 4 clips.

(c) Disengage the 7 claws and remove the front door scuff plate LH.





(d) Disconnect the connector.

55. REMOVE FRONT DOOR SCUFF PLATE RH (w/ Illumination)

56. REMOVE FRONT DOOR OPENING TRIM COVER LH

(a) Disengage the 4 claws and remove the front door opening trim cover LH.





57. REMOVE FRONT DOOR OPENING TRIM COVER RH

58. REMOVE FRONT PILLAR GARNISH LH

(a) Pull the upper part of the garnish toward the inside of the cabin and disengage the garnish from the base of the 2 clips.





HINT
Make the front pillar garnish LH hang down from the front pillar garnish clip.

(b) Turn the end of the front pillar garnish clip 90° with needle-nosed pliers and remove it from the front pillar garnish LH.





NOTICE:
* Front pillar garnish clips are reusable if they are not removed from the vehicle and have no damage.
* Replace the front pillar garnish clips with new ones if they are removed from the vehicle.

(c) Disengage the guide at the front end of the front pillar garnish LH and remove it.

(d) Protect the curtain shield airbag assembly.





(1) Thoroughly cover the airbag with a cloth or nylon sheet and fix the ends of the cover with adhesive tape, as shown in the illustration.

NOTICE:
Cover the curtain shield airbag with a protective cover as soon as the front pillar garnish is removed.

(a) Put protective tape around the rear door scuff plate.





(b) Using a moulding remover, disengage the 2 clips.

(c) Disengage the 5 claws and remove the the rear door scuff plate LH.





106. REMOVE REAR DOOR SCUFF PLATE RH

107. REMOVE LAP BELT OUTER ANCHOR COVER

(a) Disengage the 2 claws and remove the lap belt outer anchor cover.





HINT
Use the same procedure to remove the cover on the other side.

108. SEPARATE FRONT SEAT OUTER BELT ASSEMBLY LH

(a) Remove the bolt and separate the front seat outer belt assembly LH.





109. SEPARATE FRONT SEAT OUTER BELT ASSEMBLY RH

110. REMOVE LOWER CENTER PILLAR GARNISH LH

(a) Disengage the 3 claws and 5 clips, and remove the lower center pillar garnish LH.





111. REMOVE LOWER CENTER PILLAR GARNISH RH

112. REMOVE CENTER PILLAR GARNISH LH

(a) Remove the 2 screws.





(b) Disengage the 2 claws and remove the center pillar garnish LH by pulling it down.

114. REMOVE REAR SEAT SIDE GARNISH LH

(a) Disengage the 5 claws and remove the rear seat side garnish LH.





115. REMOVE REAR SEAT SIDE GARNISH RH

(a) Disengage the 4 clips and claw, and remove the roof side inner garnish LH.

118. REMOVE INNER REAR VIEW MIRROR STAY HOLDER COVER Removal

119. REMOVE RAIN SENSOR Removal

120. REMOVE MAP LIGHT ASSEMBLY (w/o Sliding Roof)

(a) Using a screwdriver, disengage the 3 claws and open the cover.





(b) Remove the 2 screws.

(c) Using a moulding remover, disengage the 2 clips.

(d) Disconnect the connector and remove the map light assembly.

121. REMOVE MAP LIGHT ASSEMBLY (w/ Sliding Roof)

(a) Remove the 2 screws.





(b) Using a moulding remover, disengage the 2 clips.

(c) Disconnect the connector and remove the map light assembly.

122. REMOVE SPOT LIGHT ASSEMBLY

(a) Using a moulding remover, disengage the 2 clips.





(b) Disconnect the connector. Remove the spot light assembly.

123. REMOVE COAT HOOK

(a) Remove the screw and coat hook.





HINT
Use the same procedure to remove the hook on the other side.

124. REMOVE ASSIST GRIP SUB-ASSEMBLY

(a) Using a screwdriver, disengage the 4 claws and remove the 2 assist grip covers.





HINT
Tape the screwdriver tip before use.

(b) Disengage the 2 clips and remove the assist grip sub-assembly.

HINT
Use the same procedure for the other 3 assist grips.

125. REMOVE VISOR BRACKET COVER

(a) Using a moulding remover, disengage the 4 claws and remove the visor bracket cover.





HINT
Use the same procedure to remove the cover on the other side.

126. REMOVE VISOR ASSEMBLY LH

(a) Remove the 2 screws and visor assembly LH.





127. REMOVE VISOR ASSEMBLY RH

128. REMOVE VISOR HOLDER

(a) Remove the visor holder by turning it counterclockwise.





HINT
Use the same procedure to remove the holder on the other side.

129. REMOVE ROOF HEADLINING ASSEMBLY (w/o Sliding Roof)

(a) Disconnect the roof wire connector and disengage each clamp from the front pillar LH.





(b) Disconnect each connector from the map light assembly.

(c) Disengage the hook, 10 claws and 2 clips.





(d) Remove the roof headlining assembly from the vehicle through the front right door.





130. REMOVE ROOF HEADLINING ASSEMBLY (w/ Sliding Roof)

(a) Disconnect the roof wire connector and disengage each clamp from the front pillar LH.





(b) Disconnect each connector from the map light assembly.

(c) Disengage the hook, 10 claws, 8 fasteners and 2 clips.





(d) Remove the roof headlining assembly from the vehicle through the front right door.





131. REMOVE ROOF SILENCER PAD (w/o Sliding Roof)

(a) Remove the roof silencer pad.





132. REMOVE REAR SIDE RAIL SPACER (w/o Sliding Roof)

(a) Remove the rear side rail spacer.





133. REMOVE ROOF HEADLINING PAD (w/o Sliding Roof)

(a) Remove the roof headlining pad.





134. REMOVE REAR SIDE RAIL SPACER (w/ Sliding Roof)

(a) Remove the rear side rail spacer.





135. REMOVE VANITY LIGHT ASSEMBLY

(a) Disengage the claw [A] and separate the bulb holder from the vanity light, as shown in the illustration.





(b) Disengage the claw [B] and remove the vanity light assembly.

HINT
Use the same procedure to remove the light on the other side.

136. REMOVE NO. 1 ROOF WIRE

(a) Remove the double-sided tape and roof wire.
