DESCRIPTION

The sliding roof control ECU assembly operates the roof panels, luggage door, back window panel and package trays in the specified order while the sliding roof switch assembly is operated. The package tray trim bracket (main package tray motor) operates the main package tray trim.

INSPECTION PROCEDURE

NOTICE:
* Since this malfunction may be detected due to the protection circuit operation in the motor, check that the motor has cooled down sufficiently before performing DTC check again.
* These DTCs are stored when the protection circuit in the motor operates due to a mechanical malfunction during metal top system operation.
* Inspect the fuses for circuits related to this system before performing the following inspection procedure.

PROCEDURE

1. CHECK PACKAGE TRAY TRIM BRACKET (MAIN PACKAGE TRAY MOTOR)

(a) Disconnect the package tray trim bracket (main package tray motor).





(b) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

Standard Resistance:

NG -- REPLACE PACKAGE TRAY TRIM BRACKET (MAIN PACKAGE TRAY MOTOR)
OK -- Continue to next step.

2. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (PACKAGE TRAY TRIM BRACKET - SLIDING ROOF CONTROL ECU)

(a) Disconnect the P60 and P55 connectors.





(b) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

Standard Resistance:

OK -- Continue to next step.

3. CHECK SLIDING ROOF CONTROL ECU ASSEMBLY (POWER SOURCE FUSE)

(a) Disconnect the P55 connectors.





(b) Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.

OK -- REPLACE SLIDING ROOF CONTROL ECU ASSEMBLY
