B2533 - Package Tray Switch No. 2 Malfunction

DESCRIPTION

The package tray trim bracket (No. 2 main package tray switch) detects the main package tray position. The switch sends a signal to the sliding roof control ECU assembly.

INSPECTION PROCEDURE

PROCEDURE

1. INSPECT PACKAGE TRAY TRIM BRACKET (NO. 2 MAIN PACKAGE TRAY SWITCH)

(a) Check that the wire harness of the No. 2 main package tray switch has not been pinched by the body.

(b) Disconnect the P60 connector.

(c) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

Standard Resistance:





NG -- REPLACE PACKAGE TRAY TRIM BRACKET (NO. 2 MAIN PACKAGE TRAY SWITCH)
OK -- Continue to next step.

2. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (PACKAGE TRAY TRIM BRACKET - SLIDING ROOF CONTROL ECU)

(a) Disconnect the P60 and P53 connectors.





(b) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

OK -- REPLACE SLIDING ROOF CONTROL ECU ASSEMBLY
