B2537 - Roof Control Switch Malfunction

DESCRIPTION

The sliding roof switch assembly sends open/close request signals to the sliding roof control ECU.

INSPECTION PROCEDURE

NOTICE:
Before starting troubleshooting, check that there are no mechanical problems.

PROCEDURE

1. READ VALUE USING TECHSTREAM (OPEN SW, CLOSE SW)

(a) Connect the Techstream to the DLC3.

(b) Turn the engine switch on (IG).

(c) Turn the Techstream on.

(d) Enter the following menus: Body Electrical / Retractable Hardtop / Data List.

(e) Read the Data List according to the display on the Techstream.

OK:

The Techstream display changes according to condition as shown in the table.

NG -- INSPECT SLIDING ROOF SWITCH ASSEMBLY

OK -- REPLACE SLIDING ROOF CONTROL ECU ASSEMBLY

2. INSPECT SLIDING ROOF SWITCH ASSEMBLY

(a) Remove the sliding roof switch assembly.





(b) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

Standard Resistance:

NG -- REPLACE SLIDING ROOF SWITCH ASSEMBLY
OK -- Continue to next step.

3. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (SLIDING ROOF SWITCH ASSEMBLY - SLIDING ROOF CONTROL ECU)

(a) Disconnect the J109 and P53 connectors.





(b) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

OK -- REPLACE SLIDING ROOF CONTROL ECU ASSEMBLY
