B2559 - Motor Lock in Luggage Door Drive Motor(LH)

DESCRIPTION

The sliding roof control ECU assembly operates the roof panels, luggage door, back window panel and package trays in the specified order while the sliding roof switch assembly is operated. The luggage door drive gear assembly LH (luggage motor LH) operates the luggage door while adjusting the speed of the right and left side motors.

INSPECTION PROCEDURE

NOTICE:
Before starting troubleshooting, manually move Procedures the roof links to check that they are not sticking or binding.

PROCEDURE

1. INSPECT LUGGAGE DOOR DRIVE GEAR ASSEMBLY LH

(a) Remove the luggage door drive gear assembly LH (luggage motor LH).





(b) Apply battery voltage and check operation of the luggage motor.

OK:





(c) Connect an electrical tester DC 400 A probe to the wire harness of the motor.

NOTICE:
Match the arrow mark of the probe with the direction of the current flow.

(d) Measure the current according to the value(s) in the table below.

NOTICE:
Make sure to perform the inspection after the motor cools down sufficiently. Otherwise the result may not meet the specified condition due to protection circuit operation in the motor.
