INSPECTION PROCEDURE

NOTICE:
* Before starting troubleshooting, manually move Procedures the roof links to check that they are not sticking or binding.
* Since this malfunction may be detected due to the protection circuit operation in the motor, check that the motor has cooled down sufficiently before performing DTC check again.
* These DTCs are stored when the protection circuit in the motor operates due to a mechanical malfunction during metal top system operation.

PROCEDURE

1. INSPECT SLIDING ROOF DRIVE GEAR SUB-ASSEMBLY (ROOF FRONT LOCK MOTOR)

(a) Remove the sliding roof drive gear sub-assembly (roof front lock motor).

(b) Apply battery voltage and check operation of the roof front lock motor.

(c) Connect an electrical tester DC 400 A probe to the wire harness of the motor.

NOTICE:
Match the arrow mark of the probe with the direction of the current flow.

(d) Measure the current according to the value(s) in the table below.

NOTICE:
Make sure to perform the inspection after the motor cools down sufficiently. Otherwise the result may not meet the specified condition due to protection circuit operation in the motor.

Standard Current:
