Removal

PARKING BRAKE: PARKING BRAKE SWITCH (for Automatic Transmission): REMOVAL

1. REMOVE FRONT SEAT ASSEMBLY LH

2. REMOVE CONSOLE BOX

Refer to the instructions for Removal of the console box Removal.

3. REMOVE NO. 2 CONSOLE BOX DUCT Removal

4. REMOVE DRIVER SIDE KNEE AIRBAG ASSEMBLY

HINT
Refer to the instructions for Removal of the driver side knee airbag assembly Removal.

5. REMOVE FRONT FLOOR FOOTREST LH Removal

6. SEPARATE FRONT FLOOR CARPET ASSEMBLY Removal

7. REMOVE NO. 3 DASH PANEL INSULATOR PAD Removal

8. REMOVE FRONT FLOOR SILENCER PAD LH

9. REMOVE REAR AIR DUCT GUIDE LH

10. REMOVE REAR NO. 2 AIR DUCT

11. SEPARATE PARKING BRAKE CONTROL PEDAL ASSEMBLY

(a) Remove the 2 nuts and separate the instrument panel junction block assembly.

(b) Remove the 3 nuts and separate the parking brake control pedal assembly from the body.

(d) Remove the 3 nuts and separate the parking brake control pedal assembly from the body.

12. REMOVE PARKING BRAKE SWITCH ASSEMBLY

(a) Remove the tension spring from the parking brake control pedal assembly.

(b) Remove the screw and parking brake switch assembly from the parking brake control pedal assembly.
