DESCRIPTION
The front controller controls the daytime running light system.
The system illuminates the high-intensity LED parking lights (high-intensity circuit).

INSPECTION PROCEDURE
PROCEDURE
1. PERFORM ACTIVE TEST USING TECHSTREAM
(a) Connect the Techstream to the DLC3.
(b) Turn the engine switch on (IG).
(c) Turn the Techstream on.
(d) Enter the following menus: Body Electrical / Body No.5 / Active Test.
(e) Check that the daytime running lights operate.
Body No. 5 (Front Controller)
OK:
Daytime running lights illuminate. (LED parking lights illuminate on high-intensity (bright) setting.)
NG -- CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (FRONT CONTROLLER - HEADLIGHTS)
OK -- PROCEED TO NEXT SUSPECTED AREA SHOWN IN PROBLEM SYMPTOMS TABLE Exterior Lighting System
2. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (FRONT CONTROLLER - HEADLIGHTS)
(a) Disconnect the 2G front controller connector.
(b) Disconnect the B2 and B12 headlight assembly connectors.
(c) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
Standard Resistance:
NG -- REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR
OK -- Continue to next step.
3. REPLACE FRONT CONTROLLER (MULTIPLEX NETWORK BODY ECU)
(a) Replace the front controller.
(b) Check the operation of the daytime running light system.
