DESCRIPTION

This circuit sends a microphone signal from the roof console box (telephone microphone assembly) to the display and navigation module display.

It also supplies power from the display and navigation module display to the roof console box (telephone microphone assembly).

INSPECTION PROCEDURE

PROCEDURE

1. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (DISPLAY AND NAVIGATION MODULE DISPLAY - ROOF CONSOLE BOX ASSEMBLY)

(a) Disconnect the display and navigation module display connector.

(b) Disconnect the roof console box assembly connector.

(c) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

Standard Resistance:

NG -- REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR
OK -- Continue to next step.

2. INSPECT DISPLAY AND NAVIGATION MODULE DISPLAY

(a) Reconnect the display and navigation module display connector.

(b) Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.

OK -- Continue to next step.

3. INSPECT ROOF CONSOLE BOX ASSEMBLY

(a) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

Standard Resistance:

NG -- REPLACE TELEPHONE MICROPHONE ASSEMBLY

OK -- PROCEED TO NEXT SUSPECTED AREA SHOWN IN PROBLEM SYMPTOMS TABLE Problem Symptoms Table

4. REPLACE TELEPHONE MICROPHONE ASSEMBLY

(a) Replace the telephone microphone assembly Removal.

NOTICE:
The connector of the telephone microphone assembly is too small to be inspected. Therefore, after replacing the telephone microphone assembly, inspect it using the connector of the roof console box assembly.

(b) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
