DESCRIPTION
The hybrid vehicle control ECU controls the back-up lights.

INSPECTION PROCEDURE
NOTICE:
Inspect the fuses for circuits related to this system before performing the following inspection procedure.
PROCEDURE
1. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (NO. 2 INTEGRATION RELAY - BATTERY AND BODY GROUND)
(a) Disconnect the 1G and 1H No. 2 integration relay connectors.
(b) Measure the voltage and resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
Standard Voltage:
Standard Resistance:
NG -- REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR
OK -- Continue to next step.
2. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (NO. 2 INTEGRATION RELAY - HYBRID VEHICLE CONTROL ECU)
(a) Disconnect the 1G No. 2 integration relay connector.
(b) Disconnect the A58 hybrid vehicle control ECU connector.
(c) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
Standard Resistance:
NG -- REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR
OK -- Continue to next step.
3. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (REAR COMBINATION LIGHT ASSEMBLY - RELAY AND BODY GROUND)
(a) Disconnect the 1G No. 2 integration relay connector.
(b) Disconnect the L29 or L28 rear combination light assembly connector.
(c) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
Standard Resistance:
NG -- REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR
OK -- Continue to next step.
4. REPLACE NO. 2 INTEGRATION RELAY
(a) Temporarily replace the No. 2 integration relay with a new or normally functioning one Components.
(b) Check that the back-up lights operate normally.
OK:
The back-up lights operate normally.
NG -- PROCEED TO NEXT SUSPECTED AREA SHOWN IN PROBLEM SYMPTOMS TABLE Exterior Lighting System
OK -- END
