Removal





2AZ-FXE ENGINE CONTROL: THROTTLE BODY: REMOVAL

1. REMOVE NO. 1 ENGINE UNDER COVER

2. DRAIN COOLANT (for Engine) Coolant (for Engine)

3. REMOVE FRONT WIPER MOTOR AND LINK

(a) Remove the front wiper motor and link Removal.

4. REMOVE WATER GUARD PLATE RH Removal

5. REMOVE NO. 2 HEATER AIR DUCT SPLASH SHIELD SEAL Removal

6. REMOVE COWL BODY MOUNTING REINFORCEMENT RH Removal

7. REMOVE OUTER COWL TOP PANEL SUB-ASSEMBLY Removal

8. REMOVE NO. 1 ENGINE COVER SUB-ASSEMBLY Removal

9. REMOVE AIR CLEANER CAP SUB-ASSEMBLY

(a) Disconnect the mass air flow meter connector and clamp.

HINT
Push down on the tab to disengage the claw, and then slide the harness toward the rear of the vehicle to disengage it.

(b) Disconnect the No. 2 ventilation hose.

(c) Disconnect the purge VSV connector and wire harness clamp [A].





(d) Disconnect the purge VSV vacuum hose [B].

(e) Disconnect the purge line hose [C].

(f) Lock the No. 1 air cleaner hose clamp, and then disconnect the No. 1 air cleaner hose from the throttle body.





(g) Remove the 2 clamps and air cleaner cap sub-assembly.





10. REMOVE THROTTLE BODY ASSEMBLY

(a) Remove the purge VSV vacuum hose.





(b) Remove the bolt and separate the fuel pipe support from the throttle body.





(c) Disconnect the throttle body connector.

(d) Disconnect the 2 water by-pass hoses from the throttle body.





(e) Remove the 3 bolts and throttle body

(f) Remove the gasket from the intake manifold.
