Reassembly

SEAT: FRONT SEAT ASSEMBLY: REASSEMBLY

1. INSTALL FRONT SEAT ADJUSTER ASSEMBLY

NOTICE:
When replacing the front seat adjuster assembly, clear seat positions stored in the position control ECU and switch assembly, and then register the end-point positions of the reclining motor, lifter motor and slide motor.

(a) Engage the 2 claws to install the 2 connector holders.

(b) Install the front seat cushion frame sub-assembly with the 4 bolts.

Torque : 19 Nm (194 kgf-cm, 14 ft-lbf)

(c) Engage the 5 hooks to install the front seat cushion spring assembly.

(d) Install the front seatback frame sub-assembly with adjuster with the 4 bolts.

Torque : 43 Nm (439 kgf-cm, 32 ft-lbf)

(e) Engage the 3 clamps and connect the side airbag wire harness.

2. INSTALL FRONT SEAT WIRE

(a) Engage the 4 clamps and 2 claws, and install the front seat wire to the front seat frame assembly with adjuster.

(b) Connect the 5 connectors.

3. INSTALL SEAT HEATER CONTROL SUB-ASSEMBLY

(a) Engage the 2 clamps to install the seat heater control sub-assembly.

(b) Connect the connector.

4. INSTALL SEAT POSITION SENSOR (for Driver Side) Installation

5. INSTALL OCCUPANT CLASSIFICATION ECU (for Front Passenger Side) Installation

6. INSTALL FRONT SEAT SHOULDER BELT GUIDE

(a) Install the front seat shoulder belt guide with the 2 nuts.

Torque : 21 Nm (214 kgf-cm, 16 ft-lbf)

7. INSTALL LUMBAR SUPPORT ADJUSTER ASSEMBLY

(a) Install the bush.

(b) Install the lumbar support adjuster with the 2 screws.

(c) Connect the connector.

8. INSTALL RECLINING REMOTE CONTROL LEVER SUB-ASSEMBLY

(a) Install the reclining remote control lever sub-assembly with the 2 nuts.

Torque : 5.0 Nm (51 kgf-cm, 44 in-lbf)

(b) Connect the 2 cable clamps.

9. INSTALL CONNECTOR HOLDER

(a) Engage the 3 hooks to install the connector holder.

(b) w/o Climate Control Seat System:

(1) Engage the clamp to connect the front seat wire.

10. INSTALL SEATBACK CLIMATE CONTROL BLOWER (w/ Climate Control Seat System)

(a) Using a T30 ''TORX'' socket, install the seatback climate control blower and the seatback climate control cover to the seat frame with the 6 ''TORX'' bolts.

Torque : 2.6 Nm (27 kgf-cm, 23 in-lbf)

(b) Engage the connector clamp.

(c) for Driver Side:

(1) Engage the 4 clamps to connect the front seat wire.

(2) Connect the connector.

(d) for Front Passenger Side:

(1) Engage the 3 clamps to connect the front seat wire.

(2) Connect the connector.

11. INSTALL FRONT SEAT CUSHION BRACKET (w/ Climate Control Seat System)

(a) Install the 3 bushes to the front seat cushion bracket.

(b) While holding each nut using a wrench as shown in the illustration, tighten the 3 screws to install the front seat cushion bracket.

12. INSTALL SEAT CUSHION CLIMATE CONTROL BLOWER WITH BRACKET (w/ Climate Control Seat System)

(a) As shown in the illustration, slide the seat climate control blower with bracket from the back of the seat and attach it to the front seat cushion spring with the 3 hooks.

(b) As shown in the illustration, bend the front part of the front seat cushion bracket.

(c) Install the front part of the front seat cushion bracket with the screw.

Torque : 2.6 Nm (27 kgf-cm, 23 in-lbf)

(d) Connect the connector.

13. INSTALL SEAT CUSHION CLIMATE CONTROL DUCT (w/ Climate Control Seat System)

(a) Engage the 2 claws to temporarily install the seat cushion climate control duct as shown in the illustration.

(b) Engage the 2 claws to install the seat cushion climate control duct as shown in the illustration.

(c) Engage the 2 claws to connect the seat cushion climate control duct to seat climate control blower with bracket as shown in the illustration.

14. INSTALL FRONT SEAT LOWER CUSHION SHIELD RH

(a) Engage the guide.

(b) Install the front seat lower seat cushion shield RH with the screw.

15. INSTALL FRONT SEAT LOWER CUSHION SHIELD LH

(a) Engage the guide.

(b) Install the front seat lower seat cushion shield LH with the screw.

16. INSTALL RECLINING ADJUSTER INSIDE COVER RH

(a) Engage the guide.

(b) Install the reclining adjuster inside cover RH with the screw.

17. INSTALL RECLINING ADJUSTER INSIDE COVER LH

(a) Engage the guide.

(b) Install the reclining adjuster inside cover LH with the screw.

18. INSTALL FRONT SEATBACK COVER

(a) Clean the front seat frame assembly with adjuster surface.

(b) Apply double-sided tape to the positions shown in the illustration and install a new front seatback cover to the front seat frame assembly with adjuster.

19. INSTALL SEPARATE TYPE FRONT SEATBACK COVER

(a) Using hog ring pliers, install the separate type front seatback cover to the separate type front seatback pad with 8 new hog rings.

NOTICE:
* Be careful not to damage the cover.
* When installing the hog rings, avoid wrinkling the cover.

20. INSTALL SEPARATE TYPE FRONT SEATBACK COVER WITH PAD

(a) Temporarily install the separate type front seatback cover with pad to the front seat frame assembly with adjuster.

(b) Engage the 7 hooks.

(c) Using hog ring pliers, install 5 new hog rings.

(d) Install the separate type front seatback cover bracket with the nut.

Torque : 5.0 Nm (51 kgf-cm, 44 in-lbf)

CAUTION:
* For vehicles with side airbags, the seatback cover must be securely installed. Otherwise, the side airbags may not deploy properly.
* Make sure that the strap is not twisted after installing the bracket.
* Install the bracket securely.
21. INSTALL FRONT SEAT HEADREST SUPPORT RH

(a) Engage the 2 craws to install the front seat headrest support RH.

22. INSTALL FRONT SEAT HEADREST SUPPORT LH

(a) Engage the 2 craws to install the front seat headrest support LH.

23. INSTALL FRONT SEATBACK BOARD COVER SUB-ASSEMBLY

(a) Engage the 2 hooks to install the front seatback board cover sub-assembly.

24. INSTALL FRONT SEATBACK BOARD SUB-ASSEMBLY

(a) Engage the 2 hooks to temporarily install the front seatback board sub-assembly as shown in the illustration.

(b) Install the front seatback board sub-assembly with the 2 screws.

25. INSTALL RECLINING REMOTE CONTROL BEZEL

(a) Engage the 6 claws to install the reclining remote control bezel.

26. INSTALL RECLINING REMOTE CONTROL LEVER KNOB

(a) Engage the claw to install the reclining remote control lever knob as shown in the illustration.

27. INSTALL SHOULDER BELT ANCHOR COVER

(a) Engage the 2 claws to temporarily install the shoulder belt anchor cover.

(b) Install the shoulder belt anchor cover with the screw.

28. INSTALL POWER SEAT SHOULDER SWITCH ASSEMBLY (w/ Memory)

(a) Engage the 4 claws to install the power seat shoulder switch assembly.

29. INSTALL FRONT SHOULDER BELT HANGER CAP

(a) w/ Memory:

(1) Connect the connector.

(b) Engage the guide and 6 claws to install the front shoulder belt hanger cap.

30. INSTALL SEPARATE TYPE FRONT SEAT CUSHION COVER

(a) Using hog ring pliers, install 14 new hog rings.

NOTICE:
* Be careful not to damage the cover.
* When installing the hog rings, avoid wrinkling the cover.

(b) Using hog ring pliers, install the separate type front seat cushion cover to the separate type front seat cushion pad with 2 new hog rings.

NOTICE:
* Be careful not to damage the cover.
* When installing the hog rings, avoid wrinkling the cover.

31. INSTALL SEPARATE TYPE FRONT SEAT CUSHION COVER WITH PAD

(a) Engage each hook as shown in the illustration.

(b) w/ Seat Heater System:

(1) Connect the connector.

(c) Engage the 2 hooks to connect the occupant detection sensor connector.

(d) Engage the 4 hooks to install the separate type front seat cushion cover with pad.

(e) Connect the 2 connectors.

(f) Engage the 2 clamps (1) and (2), connect the 2 wire harnesses.

(g) w/ Seat Heater System:

(1) Engage the clamp (3) to connect the seat heater wire harness.

(2) Connect the connector.

32. INSTALL FRONT POWER SEAT SWITCH (w/o Memory)

(a) Connect the connector.

(b) Install the front power seat switch with the 3 screws.

33. INSTALL POSITION CONTROL ECU AND SWITCH ASSEMBLY (w/ Memory)

NOTICE:
When replacing the position control ECU and switch assembly, register the end-point positions of the reclining motor, lifter motor and slide motor.

(a) Connect the 2 connectors.

(b) Install the position control ECU and switch assembly with the 3 screws.

34. INSTALL FRONT SEAT CUSHION INNER SHIELD

(a) Engage the guide to the clip as shown in the illustration.

(b) Engage the claw and guide as shown in the illustration.

(c) Install the front seat cushion inner shield with the screw.

35. INSTALL LUMBAR SWITCH

(a) Install the lumbar switch to the front cushion shield with the 2 screws.

36. INSTALL NO. 1 FRONT SEAT CUSHION INNER SHIELD

(a) Install the No. 1 front seat cushion inner shield to the front seat cushion shield with the 2 screws.

37. INSTALL FRONT SEAT CUSHION SHIELD ASSEMBLY

(a) Connect the connector to the lumbar switch.

(b) w/o Memory:

(1) Install the front seat cushion shield assembly with the 6 screws.

(d) Engage the 2 hooks and install the 2 rubber bands of the front seatback board to the seat frame.

38. INSTALL RECLINING ADJUSTER RELEASE HANDLE

(a) Engage the claw to install the reclining adjuster release handle.

39. INSTALL RECLINING POWER SEAT SWITCH KNOB

(a) Engage the 4 claws to install the reclining power seat switch knob.

40. INSTALL SLIDE AND VERTICAL POWER SEAT SWITCH KNOB

(a) Engage the 4 claws to install the slide and vertical power seat switch knob.
