DESCRIPTION

The main body ECU RH receives information on the interior light on/off switch.

The main body ECU LH receives information on the interior light door switch.

INSPECTION PROCEDURE

PROCEDURE

1. READ VALUE USING TECHSTREAM

(a) Connect the Techstream to the DLC3.

(b) Turn the engine switch on (IG).

(c) Turn the Techstream on.

(d) Enter the following menus: Body Electrical / (desired system) / Data List.

(e) Read the display on the Techstream.

Switch condition can be displayed.

A -- INSPECT MAP LIGHT ASSEMBLY

B -- INSPECT MAP LIGHT ASSEMBLY

D -- PROCEED TO NEXT SUSPECTED AREA SHOWN IN PROBLEM SYMPTOMS TABLE Interior Lighting System

2. INSPECT MAP LIGHT ASSEMBLY

(a) Remove the map light assembly.





(b) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table.

Standard Resistance:

3. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (MAP LIGHT ASSEMBLY - MAIN BODY ECU RH)

(a) Disconnect the R5 map light assembly connector.





(b) Disconnect the J75 main body ECU RH connector.

(c) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table.

OK -- REPLACE MAIN BODY ECU RH (COWL SIDE JUNCTION BLOCK RH)

4. INSPECT MAP LIGHT ASSEMBLY

(a) Remove the map light assembly.





(b) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table.

5. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (MAP LIGHT ASSEMBLY - MAIN BODY ECU LH)

(c) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table.
