DESCRIPTION

* The main body ECU RH (cowl side junction block RH) receives door control switch signals from the power window regulator master switch assembly by multiplex communication (BEAN).

* The power window regulator master switch assembly receives door key lock and unlock switch signals from the front door lock assembly (for driver side). The power window regulator master switch assembly sends these signals to the main body ECU RH (cowl side junction block RH).

* The main body ECU RH (cowl side junction block RH) activates the door lock motor on each door according to these signals.

INSPECTION PROCEDURE

NOTICE:
The power door lock control system uses the multiplex communication system. First, confirm that there is no malfunction in the multiplex communication system. Refer to the How to Proceed with Troubleshooting procedure How To Proceed With Troubleshooting.

PROCEDURE

1. CHECK DOOR LOCK OPERATION

(a) Check door lock operation Operation Check.

Result:





B -- REPLACE POWER WINDOW REGULATOR MASTER SWITCH ASSEMBLY
A -- Continue to next step.

2. READ VALUE USING TECHSTREAM (DOOR KEY LINKED LOCK AND UNLOCK SWITCH)

(a) Connect the Techstream to the DLC3.

(b) Turn the engine switch on (IG).

(c) Turn the Techstream on.

(d) Enter the following menus: Body Electrical / Master Switch / Data List.

(e) Read the Data List according to the display on the Techstream.

Master Switch (Power Window Regulator Master Switch Assembly)





OK:

On the Techstream screen, ON or OFF will be displayed accordingly.

NG -- INSPECT FRONT DOOR LOCK ASSEMBLY (DOOR KEY LINKED LOCK AND UNLOCK SWITCH)
OK -- Continue to next step.

3. REPLACE POWER WINDOW REGULATOR MASTER SWITCH ASSEMBLY

(a) Replace the power window regulator master switch assembly Removal.

NEXT -- Continue to next step.

4. CHECK DOOR LOCK OPERATION

(a) Check that all doors can be locked and unlocked by using the power window regulator master switch assembly Operation Check.

OK:

All doors can be locked and unlocked with the driver side door control switch.

NG -- REPLACE MAIN BODY ECU RH (COWL SIDE JUNCTION BLOCK RH)

OK -- END (POWER WINDOW REGULATOR MASTER SWITCH ASSEMBLY WAS DEFECTIVE)

5. INSPECT FRONT DOOR LOCK ASSEMBLY (DOOR KEY LINKED LOCK AND UNLOCK SWITCH)

(a) Remove the front door lock assembly (for driver side) Removal.





(b) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

Standard Resistance:

OK -- Continue to next step.

6. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (FRONT DOOR LOCK - POWER WINDOW REGULATOR MASTER SWITCH)

(a) Disconnect the power window regulator master switch assembly connector.





(b) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

Standard Resistance:
