DESCRIPTION

* When the front doors are closed, front power window regulator motor assemblies can control its power window operation for approximately 45 seconds after the engine switch is turned from on (IG) to off by receiving operation permission signals from the main body ECU RH (cowl side junction block RH).

* However, when approximately 45 seconds have elapsed, or the driver door or front passenger door is opened within approximately 45 seconds of the engine switch being turned off, the front power window regulator motor assemblies stops operating.

* During an auto operation, when 45 seconds have passed and key-off operation is prohibited, the window operation stops immediately.

INSPECTION PROCEDURE

NOTICE:
The power window control system uses the BEAN communication system. Inspect the communication function by following How to Proceed with Troubleshooting How To Proceed With Troubleshooting. Troubleshoot the power window control system after confirming that the communication system is functioning properly.

PROCEDURE

1. CHECK MANUAL UP / DOWN FUNCTION

(a) Check that the manual up and down function using the power window regulator master switch assembly and power window regulator switch assembly can operate all the power windows Operation Check.

OK:

Manual up and down function is normal.

NG -- GO TO OTHER PROBLEM (Proceed to Problem Symptoms Table) Problem Symptoms Table
OK -- Continue to next step.

2. CHECK REMOTE UP / DOWN FUNCTION

(a) Check that the remote up and down function using the power window regulator master switch assembly operates the power windows Operation Check.

OK:

Remote up and down function is normal.

NG -- GO TO OTHER PROBLEM (Proceed to Problem Symptoms Table) Problem Symptoms Table
OK -- Continue to next step.

3. CHECK OPERATION FUNCTION AFTER ENGINE SWITCH IS TURNED OFF

(a) Check the power window operation function after the engine switch is turned off.

B -- REPLACE MAIN BODY ECU RH (COWL SIDE JUNCTION BLOCK RH)
A -- Continue to next step.

4. READ VALUE USING TECHSTREAM

(a) Connect the Techstream to the DLC3.

(b) Turn the engine switch on (IG).

(c) Turn the Techstream on.

(d) Enter the following menus: Body Electrical / Main Body / Data List.

(e) Read the Data List according to the display on the Techstream.

Main Body (Main Body ECU RH (Cowl Side Junction Block RH))





OK:

On the Techstream screen, ON or OFF is displayed accordingly.

NG -- GO TO LIGHTING SYSTEM (Proceed to Door Courtesy Light Switch Circuit) Door Courtesy Switch Circuit

OK -- REPLACE MAIN BODY ECU RH (COWL SIDE JUNCTION BLOCK RH)
