DESCRIPTION
The sliding roof control ECU assembly sends the all window switch (sliding roof switch assembly) operation signal via BEAN communication to the power window regulator master switch assembly and power window regulator switch assembly when the engine switch is on (IG). Upon receiving the signal, the power window regulator master switch assembly operates the power window regulator motor assembly (for driver side), the power window regulator switch assembly operates the power window regulator motor assembly (for front passenger side), and the sliding roof control ECU assembly operates the power window regulator motor assembly LH (for quarter) and power window regulator motor assembly RH (for quarter).

INSPECTION PROCEDURE
NOTICE:
* When the power window regulator master switch assembly or power window regulator switch assembly is removed, the power window control system must be initialized Initialization.
* The power window control system uses BEAN communication. Inspect the communication function by following How to Proceed with Troubleshooting How To Proceed With Troubleshooting. Troubleshoot the power window control system after confirming that the communication system is functioning properly.
PROCEDURE
1. CHECK MANUAL UP / DOWN FUNCTION
(a) Check that the manual up and down function using the power window regulator master switch assembly and power window regulator switch assembly can operate all the power windows Operation Check.
OK:
Manual up and down function is normal.
NG -- GO TO OTHER PROBLEM (Proceed to Problem Symptoms Table) Problem Symptoms Table
OK -- Continue to next step.
2. CHECK REMOTE UP / DOWN FUNCTION
(a) Check that the remote up and down function using the power window regulator master switch assembly operates the power windows Operation Check.
OK:
Remote up and down function is normal.
NG -- GO TO OTHER PROBLEM (Proceed to Problem Symptoms Table) Problem Symptoms Table
OK -- Continue to next step.
3. CHECK ALL POWER WINDOW OPERATION
(a) Check the operation of the manual function of the all window switch.
Result:

(a) Connect the Techstream to the DLC3.
(b) Turn the engine switch on (IG)
(c) Turn the Techstream on.
(d) Enter the following menus: Body Electrical / Retractable Hardtop / Data List.
(e) Read the Data List according to the display on the Techstream.

OK:
On the Techstream screen, ON or OFF is displayed accordingly.
NG -- INSPECT ALL WINDOW SWITCH (SLIDING ROOF SWITCH ASSEMBLY)

6. INSPECT ALL WINDOW SWITCH (SLIDING ROOF SWITCH ASSEMBLY)
(a) Remove the all window switch (sliding roof switch assembly) Removal.
(b) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

7. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (ALL WINDOW SWITCH - SLIDING ROOF CONTROL ECU)
(a) Disconnect the sliding roof control ECU assembly connector.
(b) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
Standard Resistance:
NG -- REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR
OK -- REPLACE SLIDING ROOF CONTROL ECU ASSEMBLY Removal
8. READ VALUE USING TECHSTREAM (ALL WINDOW SWITCH (SLIDING ROOF SWITCH ASSEMBLY))
(a) Connect the Techstream to the DLC3.
(b) Turn the engine switch on (IG)
(c) Turn the Techstream on.
(d) Enter the following menus: Body Electrical / Retractable Hardtop / Data List.
(e) Read the Data List according to the display on the Techstream.

9. INSPECT ALL WINDOW SWITCH (SLIDING ROOF SWITCH ASSEMBLY)
(a) Remove the all window switch (sliding roof switch assembly) Removal.
(b) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
Standard Resistance:

If the result is not as specified, replace the sliding roof switch assembly.

10. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (ALL WINDOW SWITCH - SLIDING ROOF CONTROL ECU)

(b) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

If the result is not as specified, replace the sliding roof switch assembly.

14. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (ALL WINDOW SWITCH - BODY GROUND)
(a) Disconnect the all window switch (sliding roof switch assembly) connector.
(b) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
Standard Resistance:
NG -- REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR
OK -- REPLACE ALL WINDOW SWITCH (SLIDING ROOF SWITCH ASSEMBLY) Removal
