DESCRIPTION

* When the engine switch is on (IG) and the window lock switch is off, operation signals are sent from the power window regulator master switch assembly to the power window regulator switch assembly or the sliding roof control ECU assembly via the BEAN communication line.

HINT
* The front passenger side window operation signal is sent to the power window regulator switch assembly.
* Quarter window power window operation signals are sent to the sliding roof control ECU assembly.

* When the power window regulator switch assembly receives an operation signal from the power window regulator master switch assembly, it operates the power window regulator motor assembly (for front passenger side).

* When the sliding roof control ECU assembly receives an operation signal from the power window regulator master switch assembly, it will operate the appropriate power window regulator motor assembly (for rear LH or rear RH side).

INSPECTION PROCEDURE

NOTICE:
* When the power window regulator master switch assembly or power window regulator switch assembly is removed, the power window control system must be initialized Initialization.
* The power window control system uses a BEAN communication system. Inspect the communication function by following How to Proceed with Troubleshooting How To Proceed With Troubleshooting. Troubleshoot the power window control system after confirming that the communication system is functioning properly.

PROCEDURE

1. CHECK REMOTE UP / DOWN FUNCTION

(a) Check that the remote up and down function using the power window regulator master switch assembly operates the power windows Operation Check.

Result:

2. CHECK POWER WINDOW CONTROL SYSTEM (WINDOW LOCK SWITCH)

(a) Check that the power window regulator switch assembly is disabled when the window lock switch of the power window regulator master switch assembly is pressed.

OK:

Power window regulator switch assembly is disabled.

(b) Check that the power window regulator switch assembly operates when the window lock switch is pressed again.

OK:

Power window regulator switch assembly can be operated.

NG -- REPLACE POWER WINDOW REGULATOR MASTER SWITCH ASSEMBLY Removal

OK -- END

3. READ VALUE USING TECHSTREAM

(a) Connect the Techstream to the DLC3.

(b) Turn the engine switch on (IG)

(c) Turn the Techstream on.

(d) Enter the following menus: Body Electrical / Master Switch / Data List.

(e) Read the Data List according to the display on the Techstream.

Master Switch (Power Window Regulator Master Switch Assembly)

OK:

On the Techstream screen, ON or OFF is displayed accordingly.

NG -- REPLACE POWER WINDOW REGULATOR MASTER SWITCH ASSEMBLY Removal
OK -- Continue to next step.

4. REPLACE POWER WINDOW REGULATOR SWITCH ASSEMBLY

(a) Replace the power window regulator switch assembly Removal.

NEXT -- Continue to next step.

5. PERFORM INITIALIZATION (POWER WINDOW REGULATOR SWITCH ASSEMBLY)

(a) Initialize the power window regulator switch assembly Initialization.

NEXT -- Continue to next step.

6. CHECK REMOTE UP / DOWN FUNCTION (for Front Passenger Side)

(a) Check that the remote up and down function using the power window regulator master switch assembly operates the front passenger door window Operation Check.

OK:

Front passenger door remote up and down function is normal.

NG -- REPLACE POWER WINDOW REGULATOR MASTER SWITCH ASSEMBLY Removal

OK -- END (POWER WINDOW REGULATOR SWITCH ASSEMBLY WAS DEFECTIVE)

7. READ VALUE USING TECHSTREAM

(a) Connect the Techstream to the DLC3.

(b) Turn the engine switch on (IG)

(c) Turn the Techstream on.

(d) Enter the following menus: Body Electrical / Master Switch / Data List.

(e) Read the Data List according to the display on the Techstream.
