DESCRIPTION
* If a +B short circuit or body ground short circuit is detected on the door system communication bus (BEAN), BEAN is disabled and a DTC is stored.

INSPECTION PROCEDURE
PROCEDURE
1. CHECK FOR DTC (MAIN BODY ECU RH)
(a) Disconnect the J75 and RJ connectors.
(b) Connect the Techstream to the DLC3.
(c) Turn the engine switch on (IG).
(d) Clear the DTC.
(e) Check for DTCs.
OK:
DTCs B1214 and B1215 are not output.
NG -- CHECK FOR DTC (FRONT CONTROLLER (ENGINE ROOM RELAY BLOCK NO. 2))
OK -- Continue to next step.
2. CHECK FOR DTC (MULTIPLEX TILT AND TELESCOPIC ECU)
(a) Reconnect the J75 and RJ connectors.
(b) Disconnect the J28 connector.
(c) Turn the engine switch on (IG).
(d) Clear the DTC.
(e) Check for DTCs.
OK:
DTCs B1214 and B1215 are not output.

3. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (MULTIPLEX TILT AND TELESCOPIC ECU - MAIN BODY ECU RH)
(a) Reconnect the J28 connector.
(b) Disconnect the RA connector.
(c) Turn the engine switch on (IG).
(d) Clear the DTC.
(e) Check for DTCs.
OK:
DTCs B1214 and B1215 are not output.
NG -- REPLACE MAIN BODY ECU RH (COWL SIDE JUNCTION BLOCK RH)
OK -- REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR (MULTIPLEX TILT AND TELESCOPIC ECU - MAIN BODY ECU RH)
4. CHECK FOR DTC (FRONT CONTROLLER (ENGINE ROOM RELAY BLOCK NO. 2))
(a) Reconnect the J75 and RJ connectors.
(b) Disconnect the 2F connector.
(c) Turn the engine switch on (IG).
(d) Clear the DTC.
(e) Check for DTCs.
OK:
DTCs B1214 and B1215 are not output.
NG -- CHECK HARNESS, CONNECTOR AND EACH ECU
OK -- REPLACE FRONT CONTROLLER (ENGINE ROOM RELAY BLOCK NO. 2)
5. CHECK HARNESS, CONNECTOR AND EACH ECU
(a) Disconnect the RJ connector.
(b) Turn the engine switch on (IG).
(c) Clear the DTC.
(d) Check for DTCs.
OK:
DTCs B1214 and B1215 are not output.

6. CHECK FOR DTC (MULTIPLEX NETWORK MASTER SWITCH)
(a) Reconnect the RJ and 2F connectors.
(b) Disconnect the M18 connector.
(c) Turn the engine switch on (IG).
(d) Clear the DTC.
(e) Check for DTCs.
OK:
DTCs B1214 and B1215 are not output.

7. CHECK HARNESS, CONNECTOR AND EACH ECU
(a) Disconnect the 2F connector.
(b) Turn the engine switch on (IG).
(c) Clear the DTC.
(d) Check for DTCs.

DTCs B1214 and B1215 are not output.

8. CHECK FOR DTC (MAIN BODY ECU LH (COWL SIDE JUNCTION BLOCK LH))
(a) Reconnect the M18 and 2F connectors.
(b) Disconnect the A30 and Q3 connectors.
(c) Turn the engine switch on (IG).
(d) Clear the DTC.
(e) Check for DTCs.
OK:
DTCs B1214 and B1215 are not output.

(d) Clear the DTC.
(e) Check for DTCs.

(b) Turn the engine switch on (IG).
(c) Clear the DTC.
(d) Check for DTCs.

(b) Disconnect the R5 connector.
(c) Turn the engine switch on (IG).
(d) Clear the DTC.
(e) Check for DTCs.
OK:
DTCs B1214 and B1215 are not output.
(f) Proceed to next step based on the inspection result.
