DESCRIPTION

The satellite switch (clearance sonar main switch) is installed at the base of the driver side instrument panel.

When the satellite switch (clearance sonar main switch) in turned ON, an ON signal is sent to the clearance warning ECU through the BEAN line. The intuitive parking assist system operates according to this signal.

INSPECTION PROCEDURE

PROCEDURE

1. INSPECT SATELLITE SWITCH (CLEARANCE SONAR MAIN SWITCH)

(a) Remove the satellite switch (clearance sonar main switch).





(b) Disconnect the satellite switch (clearance sonar main switch) connector.

(c) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

Standard Resistance:





NG -- REPLACE SATELLITE SWITCH (CLEARANCE SONAR MAIN SWITCH) Removal
OK -- Continue to next step.

2. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (COMBINATION METER ASSEMBLY - SATELLITE SWITCH)

(a) Disconnect the combination meter assembly connector.





(b) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.





Standard Resistance:





NG -- REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR

OK -- PROCEED TO NEXT CIRCUIT INSPECTION SHOWN IN PROBLEM SYMPTOMS TABLE Intuitive Parking Assist System
