Installation

SUPPLEMENTAL RESTRAINT SYSTEMS: FRONT PASSENGER AIRBAG ASSEMBLY: INSTALLATION

1. INSTALL NO. 2 INSTRUMENT PANEL WIRE

(a) Connect the 2 airbag connectors.





NOTICE:
When connecting the airbag connector, take care not to damage the airbag wire harness.

(b) Install the 2 clamps and No. 2 instrument panel wire on the front passenger airbag assembly.

2. INSTALL FRONT PASSENGER AIRBAG ASSEMBLY

(a) Engage the 5 hooks (A).





(b) Install the front passenger airbag assembly with the 5 hooks (B) on the instrument panel.

(c) Install the 2 screws.





3. INSTALL SIDE NO. 2 DEFROSTER NOZZLE DUCT Reassembly

4. INSTALL NO. 3 HEATER TO REGISTER DUCT Reassembly

5. INSTALL INSTRUMENT PANEL SAFETY PAD ASSEMBLY Installation

6. CONNECT NO. 2 INSTRUMENT PANEL WIRE

(a) Check that the engine switch is off.

(b) Check that the cable is disconnected from the negative (-) battery terminal.

CAUTION:
Wait at least 90 seconds after disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal to disable the SRS system.

(c) Connect the connector.





NOTICE:
When connecting the airbag connector, take care not to damage the airbag wire harness.

7. INSTALL NO. 1 CONSOLE BOX DUCT
