DESCRIPTION

The skid control ECU is connected to the No. 1 meter ECU via CAN communication. The slip indicator light blinks during VSC and/or TR(A)C operation to inform the driver of system operation and when a slip occurs. When the system fails, the slip indicator comes on to warn the driver.

INSPECTION PROCEDURE

NOTICE:
When replacing the skid control ECU, perform the following operations:

* Initialization of linear solenoid valve and calibration Initialization
* Yaw rate and acceleration sensor zero point calibration Calibration

PROCEDURE

1. CHECK DTC FOR ALL SYSTEM

(a) Clear the DTC Reading and Clearing Diagnostic Trouble Codes.

(b) Check for the DTC Reading and Clearing Diagnostic Trouble Codes.

2. PERFORM ACTIVE TEST USING TECHSTREAM (SLIP INDICATOR LIGHT)

(a) Connect the Techstream to the DLC3.

(b) Turn the power switch ON (IG).

(c) Select the Active Test mode on the Techstream.

Combination meter:

(d) Check that the slip indicator light turns on or off when using the Techstream.

OK:

The slip indicator light turns on or off in accordance with the Techstream.

If troubleshooting has been carried out according to the PROBLEM SYMPTOMS TABLE, refer back to the table and proceed to the next step before replacing the part Problem Symptoms Table.
