Removal
PARK ASSIST / MONITORING: PARKING ASSIST ECU: REMOVAL
1. REMOVE LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT MAT SUB-ASSEMBLY Removal
2. REMOVE DECK TRIM SIDE BOARD LH (w/o Spare Tire) Removal
3. REMOVE BATTERY SERVICE HOLE COVER LH Removal
4. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL
CAUTION:
Wait at least 90 seconds after disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal to prevent airbag and seat belt pretensioner activation.
NOTICE:
* w/ Navigation System (for HDD):
After the power switch is turned off, the display and navigation module display (HDD navigation system) records various types of memory and settings. As a result, after turning the power switch off, be sure to wait for the time specified in the following table before disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal.
Waiting Time before Disconnecting Cable from Negative (-) Battery Terminal:
* When disconnecting the cable, some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected Repair Instruction - Initialization.
5. REMOVE INSTRUMENT PANEL FINISH PANEL END RH
(a) Using a moulding remover, detach the 8 clips and claw, and remove the instrument panel finish panel end.
6. REMOVE INSTRUMENT SIDE PANEL RH Removal
7. REMOVE NO. 2 INSTRUMENT PANEL UNDER COVER SUB-ASSEMBLY Removal
8. REMOVE LOWER INSTRUMENT PANEL Removal
9. REMOVE FRONT PASSENGER SIDE KNEE AIRBAG ASSEMBLY Removal
10. REMOVE NO. 2 INSTRUMENT CLUSTER MOULDING Removal
11. REMOVE GLOVE COMPARTMENT DOOR ASSEMBLY Removal
12. REMOVE PARKING ASSIST ECU
(a) Disconnect the connectors.
NOTICE:
Do not forcibly disconnect the connector.
(b) Remove the bolt, nut and parking assist ECU with bracket.
(c) Remove the bolt, nut and parking assist ECU.
NOTICE:
* Avoid any impact to the parking assist ECU.
* Do not drop the ECU. If it is dropped, replace it with a new one.
