PARKING BRAKE: ELECTRIC PARKING BRAKE ECU: REMOVAL
1. REMOVE BATTERY SERVICE HOLE COVER LH Removal
2. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL
CAUTION:
Wait at least 90 seconds after disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal to prevent airbag and seat belt pretensioner activation.
NOTICE:
* w/ Navigation System (for HDD):
After the power switch is turned off, the display and navigation module display (HDD navigation system) records various types of memory and settings. As a result, after turning the power switch off, be sure to wait for the time specified in the following table before disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal.
Waiting Time before Disconnecting Cable from Negative (-) Battery Terminal:
* When disconnecting the cable, some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected Repair Instruction - Initialization.
3. REMOVE LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT MAT SUB-ASSEMBLY Removal
4. REMOVE DECK TRIM SIDE BOARD LH (w/o Spare Tire) Removal
5. REMOVE SPARE TIRE (w/ Spare Tire)
6. REMOVE BATTERY Removal
7. REMOVE BATTERY CARRIER Removal
8. REMOVE ROPE HOOK Removal
9. REMOVE ROPE HOOK ASSEMBLY Removal
10. REMOVE DECK TRIM SIDE BOARD RH Removal
11. REMOVE NO. 1 LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT LIGHT ASSEMBLY Removal
12. REMOVE NO. 1 COOLER COVER (w/ Rear Air Conditioning System) Removal
13. REMOVE FRONT LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT TRIM COVER Removal
14. REMOVE DECK BOARD ASSEMBLY (w/o Spare Tire)
15. REMOVE TOOL BOX (w/o Spare Tire) Removal
16. REMOVE REAR FLOOR FINISH PLATE Removal
17. REMOVE LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT TRIM COVER ASSEMBLY LH Removal
18. REMOVE SEAT VIBRATOR MODULE ASSEMBLY (for Ottoman) Removal
19. REMOVE REAR ACTIVE STABILIZER CONTROL ECU (w/ Active Stabilizer System) Removal
20. REMOVE SEAT BELT CONTROL ECU Removal
21. REMOVE ELECTRIC PARKING BRAKE ECU
(a) Disconnect the 2 ECU connectors.
(b) Remove the 2 nuts and ECU.
