SUSPENSION: REAR ACTIVE STABILIZER CONTROL ACTUATOR: REMOVAL

1. REMOVE REAR WHEEL

2. REMOVE LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT MAT SUB-ASSEMBLY Removal

3. REMOVE DECK TRIM SIDE BOARD LH (w/o Spare Tire) Removal

4. REMOVE TOOL BOX

5. REMOVE SPARE TIRE

6. REMOVE BATTERY SERVICE HOLE COVER LH Removal

7. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL

CAUTION:
Wait at least 90 seconds after disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal to prevent airbag and seat belt pretensioner activation.

NOTICE:
* Some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected Repair Instruction - Initialization.
* After the power switch is turned OFF, the HDD navigation system requires approximately 6 minutes to record various types of memory and settings. As a result, after turning the power switch OFF, wait 6 minutes or more before disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal.

12. REMOVE NO. 1 COOLER COVER (w/ Rear Air Conditioning System) Removal

13. REMOVE FRONT LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT TRIM COVER Removal

14. REMOVE DECK BOARD ASSEMBLY (w/o Spare Tire)

15. REMOVE TOOL BOX (w/o Spare Tire) Removal

16. REMOVE REAR FLOOR FINISH PLATE Removal

17. REMOVE LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT TRIM COVER ASSEMBLY LH Removal

18. REMOVE BATTERY Removal

19. REMOVE BATTERY CARRIER ASSEMBLY Removal

20. DISCONNECT REAR ACTIVE STABILIZER CONTROL ACTUATOR CONNECTOR

(a) Detach the wire harness clamp.

(b) Using the procedures below, disconnect the 2 connectors.

(1) Release the lever's lock. (*1)

(2) Press the claw and move the lever in the direction of the arrow in the illustration. (*2)

(3) Disconnect the actuator connector. (*3)

NOTICE:
When disconnecting the actuator connector, do not apply excessive force to the wire harness.

(d) Detach the 3 claws, and disconnect the wire harness grommet from the body.

23. REMOVE NO. 2 DIFFERENTIAL SUPPORT PROTECTOR Removal

25. REMOVE NO. 6 ROCKER PANEL MOULDING PROTECTOR Removal

26. REMOVE NO. 5 ROCKER PANEL MOULDING PROTECTOR Removal

27. REMOVE REAR FLOOR SIDE MEMBER COVER LH Removal

28. REMOVE REAR FLOOR SIDE MEMBER COVER RH Removal

29. REMOVE FRONT FLOOR COVER LH Removal

30. REMOVE FRONT FLOOR COVER RH Removal

31. REMOVE FRONT CENTER FLOOR COVER Removal

32. REMOVE FRONT CENTER FLOOR BRACE Removal

33. DISCONNECT EXHAUST PIPE AIR HOSE Removal

34. REMOVE EXHAUST GAS TEMPERATURE SENSOR Removal

35. REMOVE NO. 2 HEATED OXYGEN SENSOR (for Bank 2 Sensor 2) Removal

36. REMOVE FRONT EXHAUST PIPE ASSEMBLY Removal

37. DISCONNECT HEATED OXYGEN SENSOR (for Bank 1 Sensor 2) Removal

38. REMOVE TAILPIPE LH Removal

39. REMOVE TAILPIPE RH Removal

40. REMOVE EXHAUST PIPE DAMPER Removal

41. REMOVE NO. 1 EXHAUST PIPE SUPPORT BRACKET SUB-ASSEMBLY Removal

42. REMOVE FRONT FLOOR NO. 1 HEAT INSULATOR Removal

43. REMOVE PROPELLER SHAFT HEAT INSULATOR Removal

44. REMOVE PROPELLER SHAFT CENTER BEARING ASSEMBLY Removal

45. REMOVE REAR WHEEL HOUSE LINER LH Removal

46. REMOVE WIRE HARNESS CLAMP Removal

47. REMOVE FLOOR NO. 1 UNDER COVER Removal

48. DISCONNECT ELECTRIC PARKING BRAKE ACTUATOR CAP Removal

49. REMOVE SKID CONTROL SENSOR WIRE Removal

50. REMOVE REAR HEIGHT CONTROL SENSOR SUB-ASSEMBLY LH Removal

51. REMOVE REAR HEIGHT CONTROL SENSOR SUB-ASSEMBLY RH

55. REMOVE REAR STABILIZER LINK ASSEMBLY LH

(a) Remove the nut and disconnect the stabilizer link from the stabilizer bar.

(b) Remove the bolt, nut and stabilizer link from the rear No. 2 suspension arm.

59. REMOVE REAR SUSPENSION MEMBER SUB-ASSEMBLY

(a) Support the suspension member with a jack.

CAUTION:
As the rear suspension is very heavy, securely support it with the transmission jack.

(b) Remove the 4 bolts.

(c) Slowly lower the jack, and disconnect the suspension member from the vehicle.

60. REMOVE REAR ACTIVE STABILIZER CONTROL ACTUATOR ASSEMBLY

(a) Disconnect the 2 claws, and remove the wire harness from the suspension member.

(b) Remove the 4 bolts and rear active stabilizer control actuator from the suspension member.

61. REMOVE REAR STABILIZER BUSH

(a) Remove the 2 bushes from the control actuator.
