Removal

SUSPENSION CONTROL: FRONT ACTIVE STABILIZER CONTROL ECU: REMOVAL

1. REMOVE LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT MAT SUB-ASSEMBLY Removal

2. REMOVE BATTERY SERVICE HOLE COVER LH Removal

3. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL

CAUTION:
Wait at least 90 seconds after disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal to prevent airbag and seat belt pretensioner activation.

NOTICE:
* w/ Navigation System (for HDD):
After the power switch is turned off, the display and navigation module display (HDD navigation system) records various types of memory and settings. As a result, after turning the power switch off, be sure to wait for the time specified in the following table before disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal.

Waiting Time before Disconnecting Cable from Negative (-) Battery Terminal:





* When disconnecting the cable, some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected Repair Instruction - Initialization.

4. REMOVE AIR CLEANER INLET COVER SUB-ASSEMBLY Removal

5. REMOVE ENGINE ROOM SIDE COVER LH Removal

6. REMOVE ENGINE ROOM SIDE COVER RH Removal

7. REMOVE COOL AIR INTAKE DUCT SEAL Removal

8. REMOVE FRONT FENDER WHEEL OPENING MOULDING LH

9. REMOVE FRONT FENDER WHEEL OPENING MOULDING RH Removal

10. REMOVE RADIATOR GRILLE ASSEMBLY Removal

11. REMOVE FRONT WHEEL OPENING EXTENSION PAD LH Removal

12. REMOVE FRONT WHEEL OPENING EXTENSION PAD RH Removal

13. REMOVE FRONT FENDER LINER LH Removal

14. REMOVE FRONT FENDER LINER RH Removal

15. REMOVE FRONT BUMPER COVER Removal

16. REMOVE NO. 1 ENGINE UNDER COVER

(a) Remove the 9 screws, 7 clips and under cover.

17. DISCONNECT FRONT FENDER LINER LH





(a) Remove the 3 screws.

(b) Partially remove the fender liner.

HINT
It is not necessary to fully remove the fender liner. Partially remove it so that the ECU can be removed.

18. REMOVE HEADLIGHT ASSEMBLY LH

(a) for HID Headlight:

Remove the headlight Removal.

(b) for LED Headlight:

Remove the headlight Removal.

19. DRAIN WASHER FLUID Removal

20. REMOVE WASHER INLET SUB-ASSEMBLY Removal

21. REMOVE WINDSHIELD WASHER JAR ASSEMBLY Removal

22. REMOVE NO. 3 COOL AIR INTAKE DUCT SUB-ASSEMBLY





(a) Detach the clamp and remove the 2 bolts.





(b) Detach the 2 claws and remove the duct.

23. REMOVE INLET ENGINE ROOM ECM DUCT





(a) Remove the duct from the ECM box.

24. DISCONNECT FRONT ACTIVE STABILIZER CONTROL ACTUATOR CONNECTOR





(a) Disconnect the wire harness clamp.

(b) Disconnect the actuator connector labeled A.

(c) Disconnect the actuator connector labeled B.

(1) Release the lever's lock. (*1)

(2) Press the claw and move the lever in the direction of the arrow in the illustration. (*2)

(3) Disconnect the actuator connector. (*3)

NOTICE:
When disconnecting the actuator connector, do not apply excessive force to the wire harness.

25. REMOVE FRONT ACTIVE STABILIZER CONTROL ECU





(a) Remove the 3 bolts and ECU.





(b) Disconnect the ECU connector.

(1) Release the lever's lock. (*1)

(2) Press the claw and move the lever in the direction of the arrow in the illustration. (*2)

(3) Disconnect the ECU connector. (*3)

NOTICE:
When disconnecting the ECU connector, do not apply excessive force to the wire harness.

26. REMOVE BRACKET

(a) Remove the 4 screws and bracket.
