Removal





SUSPENSION CONTROL: SUSPENSION CONTROL ECU: REMOVAL

1. REMOVE LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT MAT SUB-ASSEMBLY Removal

2. REMOVE BATTERY SERVICE HOLE COVER LH Removal

3. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL

CAUTION:
Wait at least 90 seconds after disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal to prevent airbag and seat belt pretensioner activation.

NOTICE:
* w/ Navigation System (for HDD):
After the power switch is turned off, the display and navigation module display (HDD navigation system) records various types of memory and settings. As a result, after turning the power switch off, be sure to wait for the time specified in the following table before disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal.

Waiting Time before Disconnecting Cable from Negative (-) Battery Terminal:





* When disconnecting the cable, some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected Repair Instruction - Initialization.

4. REMOVE INSTRUMENT PANEL FINISH PANEL END RH Removal

5. REMOVE INSTRUMENT SIDE PANEL RH Removal

6. REMOVE NO. 2 INSTRUMENT CLUSTER MOULDING Removal

7. REMOVE NO. 2 INSTRUMENT PANEL UNDER COVER SUB-ASSEMBLY Removal

8. REMOVE LOWER INSTRUMENT PANEL Removal

9. REMOVE FRONT PASSENGER SIDE KNEE AIRBAG ASSEMBLY Removal

10. REMOVE GLOVE COMPARTMENT DOOR ASSEMBLY Removal

11. REMOVE SUSPENSION CONTROL ECU WITH BRACKET

(a) w/o Advanced Parking Guidance System:

Disconnect the ECU connectors from the clearance warning ECU.

HINT
Do not apply excessive force to the wire harnesses.

(b) w/ Advanced Parking Guidance System:

Disconnect the ECU connectors from the parking assist ECU.

HINT
Do not apply excessive force to the wire harnesses.

(c) Disconnect the suspension control ECU connectors.





HINT
Do not apply excessive force to the wire harnesses.

(d) Remove the bolt, nut and bracket.





12. REMOVE SUSPENSION CONTROL ECU

(a) Remove the 2 nuts and suspension control ECU from the bracket.





NOTICE:
* Avoid any impact to the suspension control ECU.
* Do not drop the ECU. If it is dropped, replace it with a new one.
