BB - No Communication With Driver Door Module (DDM)

Pinpoint Test BB: No Communication With Driver Door Module (DDM)

BB1 - Check Power Supply to Driver Door Module

- Disconnect driver door module C3 connector.
- Using a voltmeter, measure for voltage at driver seat module connector pin C3-6 circuit 797 (LG/P).

Is voltage B+?

YES GO to BB4.
NO GO to BB2.

BB2 - Check Circuit 797 (LG/P) For Short To Ground

- Remove fuse 39 (10A) from fuse junction panel.
- Using an ohmmeter connected to ground, measure resistance at driver door module pin C3-6 circuit 797 (LG/P).

Is resistance less than 5 ohms?

YES SERVICE circuit 797 (LG/P) for short to ground. RESTORE vehicle. RETEST system.
NO GO to BB3.

BB3 - Check Power Supply To Fuse 39 (10A)

- Using a voltmeter, measure resistance at input cavity of fuse 39 (10A).

Is voltage B+?

YES SERVICE circuit 797 (LG/P) for open. RESTORE vehicle. RETEST system.
NO SERVICE power supply to fuse 39 (10A). RESTORE vehicle. RETEST system.

BB4 - Check Ground Circuits

- Using an ohmmeter connected to ground, measure resistance at driver door module pin C3-7 circuit 57 (BK) and pin C3-14 circuit 875 (BK/LB).

Are both circuits resistance less than 5 ohms?

YES GO to communication network diagnostics in Computers and Control Systems to diagnose concern. Information Bus
NO SERVICE circuit 57 (BK) and/or circuit 875 (BK/LB). RESTORE vehicle. RETEST system.
