B1549 - Master Window Control Switch Active (>2 Minutes)
B1549 - Master Window Control Switch Active (More Than 2 Minutes)B1549-1 - Make Sure Switch Is Not Active
- Make sure that window regulator control switches are not pressed
- Clear DTC, then perform driver door module On-Board Diagnostic again.
Is DTC B1549 still present?
YES GO to B1549-3.
NO GO to B1549-2.
B1549-2 - Make Sure That Switch Is Not Sticking
- Access the driver door module PID LFPW_SW - Left Front Power Window Switch
- Press and release each window regulator control switch several times
Does PID show that button releases within 1 second from when the switch is released?
YES System operating normally. Continuous fault set if any master window switch held for more than 2 minutes.
NO GO to B1549-3.
B1549-3 - Check PID LFPW_SW
- Access driver door module PID LFPW_SW.
- Read PID contents.
Does PID contain information?
YES PID says UP, GO to B1549-4. PID says DOWN, GO to B1549-5.
NO REPLACE driver door module. RESTORE vehicle. RETEST system.
B1549-4 - Check Circuit 226 (W/BK)
- Access and disconnect driver door module connector C3
- Measure voltage between pin C3-1, circuit 226 (W/BK) and a good ground.
Is battery voltage present?
YES SERVICE circuit 226 (W/BK) for short to battery voltage. RESTORE vehicle. RETEST system.
NO REPLACE driver door module. RESTORE vehicle. RETEST system.
B1549-5 - Check Circuit 227 (Y)
- Disconnect driver door module connector C2.
- Measure voltage to ground at pin C2-2, circuit 408 (T/R).
Is battery voltage present?
YES SERVICE circuit 408 (T/R) short to battery. RESTORE vehicle. RETEST system.
NO REPLACE driver door module. RESTORE vehicle. RETEST system.
