Normal Operation
The powertrain control module (PCM) monitors and controls the powertrain functions. When a PCM concern is detected, the PCM provides a signal to the instrument cluster over the standard corporate protocol (SCP) communication network, circuits 4-EG8 (GY/VT) and 5-EG8 (BU/WH), and the instrument cluster turns on the malfunction indicator lamp (MIL).
