Normal Operation
The instrument cluster monitors the key-in-ignition, the ignition status and the steering column lock status. The steering column lock status is sent to the instrument cluster from the input of the steering column lock (SCL) module over the standard corporate protocol (SCP) communication network circuits 4-EG8 (GY/VT) and 5-EG8 (BU/WH). The instrument cluster will turn on the steering wheel column lock indicator when the key is in the RUN position and the steering column is locked.
