Test A: No Communication With The Luggage Compartment Lid Module

PINPOINT TESTS

NOTE: ISO-9141 circuit 70 provides the communication link for this module. This module or another module(s) (must use circuit 70, also) may be shorted internally causing a loss of communication. First, attempt to communicate with another module(s) that uses circuit 70 as its communication link. If communication (PIDS, OTCs) can be established with another modules) on circuit 70, GO to Pinpoint Test A. If communication can not be established with another module(s) on circuit 70. one or more modules may be shorted internally. or circuit 70 may be open, shorted to ground or shorted to power. Check circuit 70 for an open between the DLC and the luggage compartment lid module. If ok, check circuit 70 for a short to ground (5 ohms or less would constitute a short to ground). Repair if necessary. Check circuit 70 for any voltage (with the luggage compartment lid module connected and disconnected) to determine if the module is shorted internally or if circuit 70 is shorted to power. Repair if necessary. If ok, GO to Pinpoint Test A.
