Normal Operation
The PATS transceiver receives voltage through central junction box (CJB) fuse 6 (10A) on circuit 29S-GL36 (OG/BU) and ground on circuit 31-GL36 (BK). During each key insertion and vehicle start sequence, the instrument cluster and the PATS transceiver read the PATS key identification code. Communication between the PATS transceiver and the instrument cluster occurs on circuits 8-GL36 (WH/RD) and 10-GL36 (GY/RD).
Possible Causes
- fuse
- circuit 8-GL36 (WH/RD) open or short to ground
- circuit 10-GL36 (GY/RD) open or short to ground
- circuit 29S-GL36 (OG/BU) open or short to ground
- circuit 31-GL36 (BK) open or short to voltage
- PATS transceiver
- instrument cluster
- PATS key
