Test S: The Parking Aid Module Does Not Respond To The Diagnostic Tool
PINPOINT TEST S: THE PARKING AID MODULE DOES NOT RESPOND TO THE DIAGNOSTIC TOOLS1:

Normal Operation
The parking aid module communicates with the diagnostic tool through the universal asynchronous receiver-transmitter (UART)-based protocol (UBP) communications network circuit 4-GN10 (GY). If circuit 4-GN10 (GY) becomes open or shorted to ground, communications to that module are not possible. Check circuit 4-GN10 (GY) between the parking aid module C4014b and the data link connector (DLC) C251. The total resistance value must not be more than 5 ohms. If the resistance is more than 5 ohms, there is either an open in circuit 4-GN10 (GY), damage to the DLC C251, damage to the parking aid module C4014b, or a problem in the in-line C213 or joint connector No. 1 C261.
Possible Causes
- UBP circuit 4-GN10 (GY) short to ground or open
- in-line C213
- DLC C251
- joint connector No. 1 C261
- parking aid module C4014b
- parking aid module
