PINPOINT TEST B: DTC B1627 - PRNDL REVERSE INPUT CIRCUIT FAILUREB1-B2:
B2-B4:
Normal Operation
With the ignition switch in the RUN position, and the gear selector in REVERSE (R), the parking aid system calculates the distance to an object by the use of a radar sensor. Reverse status is communicated to the parking aid module from the transmission range (TR) sensor on circuit 140 (BK/PK).
DTC B1627 - is a continuous and on-demand DTC that sets if the PAM detects a short to voltage on the PRNDL reverse input circuit 140 (BK/PK).
Possible Causes
- Circuit 140 (BK/PK) short to voltage
- Parking aid system wiring harness
- TR sensor
- Parking aid module
