Driver Seat Module (DSM)









Removal and Installation

NOTE: Prior to the removal of the module, it is necessary to upload the module configuration to a scan tool. This information needs to be downloaded into the new module once installed. For additional information, refer to Module Configuration Programming and Relearning.

1. NOTE: A new Driver Seat Module (DSM) is delivered in a manufacturing mode with pre-set DTC B2477 (Module Configuration Failure). This DTC clears when the module has been successfully configured during Programmable Module Installation (PMI).

NOTE: This step is necessary only if a new DSM is being installed.

Upload the module configuration information from the DSM. For additional information, refer to Module Configuration Programming and Relearning.

2. Remove the driver seat. For additional information, refer to Seating Seat - Front.

3. Remove the 2 screws.

4. Disconnect the electrical connectors.

5. Remove the DSM from the seat bracket.

6. NOTE: Once the new module is installed, it is necessary to download the module configuration information from the scan tool into the new module. For additional information, refer to Module Configuration Programming and Relearning.

To install, reverse the removal procedure.
